Birthday Party

This weekend we attended a birthday party for our 2nd cousin, Bo. The party was outside and had moon bounces, a magic show, and snow cones. I was only able to take pictures of the moon bounces due to my camera dying on me. Ethan absolutely loved the moon bounces. He did not want to stop playing on them. It was cold so I kept taking him in and he would not like that at all. Here are several pictures of him playing.

Making new friends.
Oh yes there were slides. Our favorite.
Of course we wanted to play where the big kids were playing. I eventually gave in and took him to the Big slide. It was a little to much with all the big kids but Ethan still loved it.

Mommy helping Ethan.
Ethan had so much fun. It was so cute because we kept saying it was Bo's birthday and Ethan would shout BO. Hope Bo has a great 7th birthday. Ethan sure enjoyed his party and his snow cone on the ride home. (Unfortunately I was unable to take pictures but Ethan absolutely loved his wedding cake snow cone.)

Play Time

Ethan has been sick for over 2 weeks. He is starting to show signs of feeling better. Hoping this is really the case. We are starting to play again which is so nice. Ethan got a tee ball set for Christmas and we had set it back to play with later. I decided to get it out this week. He loves balls and was very interested in playing. The bat was a little heavy for him so he can not really swing it fully yet. Only a matter of time I am sure. Here Mike is showing him what to do. Once he knocked the ball off he dropped the bat. Starting him early to be a ball player. Oh how much Ethan has grown up. It amazes me that he is able to hit a ball and play like he does now. Before I know it we will be signing up for tee ball for real.
Today Ethan wanted to go out and play. I had bought him a lawn mower over the weekend so we took it out to play with. Ethan was beyond interested in pushing it around. Here he is playing with his new lawn mower.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Day.

Finally getting around.

For the past 2 weeks Ethan has been fighting a stomach bug and ear infection. We have been to the doctor and we keep being told to let it run its course. Well needless to say we are all very tired of the sickness in our home. This past weekend Ethan finally has his energy back and appears to be much happier. He still is having tummy issues but we thought we needed to get out. So today we spent time at home playing and then we ended the night by going to watch Haleigh play at her tournament. Here is Ethan with aunt Mandy watching Haleigh play. Ethan loves his cousins so much. Only trouble here was Ethan not understanding why he couldn't go out on the field to play. Ethan and Haidyn playing together.
Ethan discovered he loved walking up and down all of the stairs. We spent a good majority of the game walking the stairs.
We did take a little break to watch the game and draw.

One of Ethan's many looks he gives us now a days. Anytime you say something to little man he does not like. You get a "look".
Ethan decided he was well enough for a sucker. I was cleaning the kitchen and I turn around to find Ethan climbing up into our kitchen chairs and saying "candy". He sits down in the chair and patiently waits for me to give him a sucker. It was too cute so I gave in and let him have some.

I figured while I worked in the kitchen Ethan could play. Ethan loves water and wanted to play with the bowls and pans. I decided I would color some water and let him experiment. Here are a few pictures. Yes this made a bit of a mess but it was well worth him learning.

Most of our time has been this. Ethan playing and relaxing around the house. I am hoping that we can soon get over this stomach bug and get back to our normal healthy self.
Sure hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. This beautiful weather is getting us very excited about all the fun times we have ahead. I am so blessed to have my little man and sure hope Ethan gets to feeling better very quickly. I love all of the cuddle time I am getting but I miss all of our play time.

Where have we been...

I know I have been a terrible blogger lately but things are quit busy around our house hold. This post is a mix of what Ethan has been doing over the past few weeks. He is now 19 months (3/2/11) Hard to believe how fast my little man has grown. We did have his 18 month check up and he weighed 22lbs (6%) and was 33 in (75%) and head was in 90%. Ethan did great getting his immunizations and we spent that day snowed in. After all the snow days in February we had some friends over to catch up. Ethan joined the adults out side for some conversation. (Oh yes he is full of conversation these days. Unfortunately we are not all speaking the same language :) Ethan with his friends, Charlie and Kadynce.
Ethan has taken an interest in his car lately. Unfortunately he still has not really drove it because he is still a little to small. Hopefully with the warm weather coming we can try it out soon.

Ethan has taken a huge liking to shoes. He constantly wants o have his shoes put on or assist you with putting on your shoes. This is one of his many words he has and will tell you about them. The other night he decided to put on Michael's shoes. It was too cute.

I think this one is too funny. He was asking us something here.
Trying to walk in them.
We had to try on the boots another day.
Ethan's favorite meal is spaghetti. And you can definitely tell by the mess that comes along with it.

Ethan got his first set up big boy legos this past week. (They are not the tiny ones but the toddler size) Ethan absolutely loves Legos. He was very excited to put his Elmo Legos together.
Hope everyone is having a great week.
