Vacation in Florida

In July the family took a trip to Destin, Florida. Here are some pictures capturing our week there. We flew out from OKC to Houston, then into Florida. This was Ethan's first time flying. I was so nervous about how he would do, but he was a champ. We flew out very early on Monday so he slept most of the first flight. The second flight he stayed awake and did great, watching movies and playing with his toys. He loved looking out the widow too.

Ethan waiting for our plain. He loved looking out at all the planes.

Playing during our layover. He even did good at the airport.

Nana and Ethan getting on the Plain to Florida.

As soon as we reach Florida we headed to the beach. We had a condo across the street from the beach so we walked over everyday to play. Ethan loves the beach.

It seem like every time we were at the beach Ethan was ready for a nap. SO we could make a little area and he would just nap while we hung out.

At night we would go out shopping or eating. I tried to get a family pictures but as usual Ethan wanted nothing to do with pictures.

Eating at Hard Rock.

One day Ethan helped bury his dada in the sand.

There was time just hanging out. Ethan had his first crush. He loved playing with Aunt KK. He was always taking her Cars and wanting her to play with him.

Relaxing and watching a movie.

Out shopping and Eating Ice Cream

Out shopping at the mall.

The Mall is like an outlet. The center was a splash area that tons of kids were playing in. Ethan loved the water but would not run in it. Just would touch with his hands then run off laughing.

Also had a play area that Ethan absolutely loved.

One evening we went to the Docks for a Dolphin tour. While waiting Ethan feed the fish.

Looking at Dolphins. As Ethan refers to anything in the water "fishy"

Hanging out with Bubba and Aunt KK

Our last night we ate at Fudruckers. Ethan really liked the Alligators. The wait ended up being so long that by the time we were seated Ethan was tired and ready to leave. It was so loud Ethan ended up becoming real upset so we took the food home.

We had a great time in Florida. It was great having the family all together. It's times like that week that mean so much having everyone all together. Hope everyone has been enjoying their summer.

4th of July

Better late then never. For 4th of July we had a very busy weekend. We started off Saturday at the lake with the entire Parrish family and my parents. We just went to Thunderbird for the day. Ethan absolutely loves the lake and had a lot of fun playing with everyone. At first he never wants to get into the water but once he is in he has a blast. Nana took him out at first since he does anything with her. Next Ethan played on his own Sea Do. This little float was real neat. Ethan likes to run into people. By the end he was wanting to jump off of it.

We stopped lots to get re hydrated and of course have snacks.

Big part of all the fun is throwing rocks and sand back into the water. Ethan can do this activity all day.

Ethan and I took a quick boat ride. Ethan was mad at first because he wanted to drive. Once we got moving he loved it. By the end he was falling asleep. I am not sure what it is but every time Ethan gets on a boat he falls asleep.

Ethan is such a big boy now. I am amazed when I watch him on days like this.
On Sunday we spent the day out at the Farm (Grandparent's land). Ethan had a few playmates on this day.

Mommy and Ethan!

Happy Independence Day America!

Ethan loves fishy so we always have to look at ponds to say hi.

Ethan and Lillie were having a lot of fun talking to one another this way.

While the adults played volleyball, Ethan drove his 4 wheeler and played with toys. He was not happy right here because he wanted to play volleyball too.

On Monday the 4th we had a cook out at Papaw's house.

After the cookout the Parrish Family and my family went to 4th St to watch fireworks and enjoy the festival. Ethan enjoyed playing on the play ground and walked through the booths with Nana and me. Later he shared a funnel cake.

Ethan with his cousin Haleigh. Ethan was amazed with the necklace.

My camera died before the end of the night but Ethan loved the fireworks. He kept reaching up like he could touch them. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We are sure having lots of fun but trying to stay cool with this heat.

A Lot of First

Sorry it has been so long. I have been without my laptop for a few weeks now and finally was able to update. The last few weeks have been full of many first. I am about to overload everyone with pictures of Ethan over the past few weeks. Over Memorial weekend we switched Ethan's crib to the toddler bed. He was not real sure what to think at first but we have adjusted very well.

At first Ethan thought it was just a place to play. He was not real thrilled with his Dada at first for changing his bed.

For the first time Ethan slept in the toddler bed I was a little nervous. Funny though because Ethan does not get up an play at all like I anticipated. At first when he would wake up he would just cry till we came to get him. Now he will come to the door (which we have a baby gate at) and just yell for us. There were a few times he would wake up at 3am and want to come to our bed but I will just take him back to his bed and sit for just a few minutes and he goes right back to sleep.

Ethan did end up on the floor the first time but he has not gone to the floor again.

Ethan fell asleep one morning back on the chair and he was so peaceful I had to take a quick picture.

Nana and Papa bought Ethan a little splash pool for their house. Here is bubba and Ethan playing in the water.

More play time with Dada

Ethan does not really want to play in the pool but more around the pool.

Ethan finally had his first hair cut. Didn't think we would get this till he was 5 but we actually needed it now. We went to Snip It and that place was so great. We had quit a long wait so Ethan played in the waiting area.

As you can see his hair is very blonde. It was just not even so we wanted to get it all trimmed up and clean looking.

Giving a high five to the hair cut man.

So Ethan was fine the entire wait but as soon as he went in the chair a switch went off. Ethan cried and screamed the entire hair cut. The girl was amazing working on Ethan.

Later that night we spent some time playing at Nana and Papa's house. Ethan with his favorite person, Nana.

Writing on the chalk board.

Jumping in the ball pit.

Last weekend we had a cook out with my family. We swam at my uncle & aunt's house. At first Ethan wanted nothing to do with the pool. He kept saying "no water". I finally just took him in.

Ethan and Mommy swimming.

Yes he went down the water slide. He did this several times.

This weekend ended celebrating Nana's birthday. Here is a pic of them this weekend.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I hope to be updating more regularly again. Have a great week!
