Happy Birthday Papaw

Today we had a cook out to celebrate Papaw's birthday. All the family came. I didn't get to take many pictures because Ethan was running around the house.

Happy Birthday Papaw. We love you!

Fair Time

The fair is in town. We go every year so of course we had to take Ethan.
We started off the adventure with some shopping then stopped for food. Ethan was able to have some taste of fair food this year. He shared my corn dog and some curly fries.
Ethan's favorite part of the fair was the goats. As soon as we walked into this building Ethan started yelling with excitement. Of course he called every goat a "dog". He wanted to touch them as we walked by. This was absolutely Ethan's favorite thing at the fair.

Ethan loves animals. Here Ethan is talking to the hens.
Ethan also petted a chick. Well he tried to take the chicks head off when he tried to grab it but we were able to stop it. Ethan is just a little too rough to hold or touch anything so little.
Ethan was even interested in looking at the exhibits. Here I am showing him bees. We were telling him what things were and he was able to repeat Bee back to us.

Chuck-E-Cheese

Ethan went to his second cousin's, Rhett, birthday party this weekend. Ethan has never been to Chuck-E-Cheese so this was very exciting for him. We started off by playing games. He really liked sitting in the little cars that moved but as soon as you turned them on he wanted nothing to do with them.
They had a "Toddle Play Land" and he loved this. He would climb up the steps and sit on the platform. We went down the slide a few times too. Ethan is growing so much that he just went to whatever he wanted to play with.

Ethan even tried to play a few of the games.

Where should I go next???
This was Ethan's favorite game there. It was a kid race car game. He could steer the car and loved all the colors.

Mommy and Ethan. Ethan sat with the big kids and ate pizza and watched. Chuckie. He was amazed when Chuckie came out. He just watched and took everything in.

Independence...

Ethan continues to grow up every day. He is becoming very independent. One moment he will be in the living room with us and next thing you know he is off in his room playing with his toys. I think it is so adorable how he will just go and play by his self. Ethan continues to amaze me every day.
I should probably mention that he is never alone. His best buddy, Charlie, is always right behind him. Here they are just hanging out in Ethan's room.

Ethan playing while I secretely watch him. My little man is growing into such an independent toddle. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time. I am so greatful that he is growing stronger and smarter every day but it breaks my heart that my little man is growing up an needing me less and less every day.

Sooner Born...Sooner Bred!

For the game Saturday we just stayed home. We ended up having Brett and Kelsey over. Some how they did not make it in the pictures. Ethan was in his OU jersey (onesie). We are already instilling the OU in this little guy.
Ethan informed us he will one day be an OU baseball player. He was loving playing with this bat.
Ethan exploring outside. He loves to be outside. Every time we let the dog out he tries to escape out the door too.

Ethan all ready for the game. Boomer Sooner!

We had to stop and take a play break.

Half time we went outside and played with sidewalk chalk. Ethan tried to draw a little bit. He was not real sure what the chalk was for.

Ethan is really starting to enjoy the outdoors and with it cooling off a little we can finally take him out more. Tonight we were just playing around the house and Ethan wanted to go outside. This was his first time to play with his outdoor play set.
He was not real sure what he was suppose to do at first. After some time he was off and playing.

Look at me mama I can play all by myself.

Saturday night was the first OU game. We went over to Nina's house to watch the game and have a cook out. Even though the game was not so great, yes a win but not to pretty of one, we had a great time.

1st Sleep Over!

Ethan had his cousins over to stay the night this weekend. He absolutely loves his cousins and they love him. We started off the night having pizza then playing in Ethan's room.
Ethan loves playing with all his cousins. They are so wonderful with him.

Haleigh and Ethan playing with toys.
Since it was such great weather we decided to walk to the park and play for a little bit. We have a park in our neighborhood so we all walked up there.

Ethan in his Radio Flyer. This was his first real ride in it. He loved it. He just kicked back and relaxed.
Ethan at the park. He was trying to figure out where to go first.

All the kids playing together.
All the cousins. (Haidyn, Haleigh, Ethan, and Logan)
The cousins are so great with helping with Ethan. Haleigh and Logan would take turns going down the slide with Ethan.
Once we all came home they played for just a little bit longer.

The next morning the kids wanted to paint pictures. We all sat down in the kitchen and made art work. They really wanted to help Ethan with his art work.

The rest of the day was spent playing. All the cousins would push Ethan in his car. He absolutely loved being pushed in his car.
