May was a very busy month. It seems like we are always busy now a days though. It is amazing how much Ethan has grown. He is so big and continues to amazing me everyday. He is talking non stop. He just carries on conversations and really shows his independence. He definitely has a little temper. Which is funny at times. He can sure test me with his stubbornness but I see that one day this will be a strength when he uses it for good and determination.
We are still not potty trained. We work on it but I am not wanting to force anything so sometimes he tries and other times there is no working at all. We just follow his lead. He is obsessed with Buzzlight Year right now. He will tell us he is Buzz and we will ask if he can fly and his response is I am too little, must eat hot dogs to get big. Not sure where this came from but it's hilarious.
I have been getting a lot of special time with Ethan. Mike's schedule is still pretty rough so Ethan and I get a lot of time together. Which I love since I know this phase will be gone before I know it.
My cousin got married in May so we attended a wedding. I was so nervous taking Ethan. He did great though. He stayed quietly through the ceremony (eating Jelly beans). During the reception he had a lot of fun. We took a picture with Bubba (Brett, my brother). Ethan loves playing with Bubba and Bubba loves to pester Ethan. I am so lucky because Brett is an amazing uncle. Brett definitely plays that Fun uncle that will only teach him ornery things.
Ethan dancing at the wedding. He loves running around and dancing to the music. We had to take a break and watch some Cars for a little bit.
We took a family trip to Arbuckle Mountains. He had a lot of fun but I think mostly because he was able to move around the car. This was a fun trip but caused some issues as he now wants to ride up front. Trying to explain to a 2 year old why he was able to then and not everyday is an impossible task.
Getting food for the animals.
Ethan loved throwing food out for the animals. He would get carried away and some animals had half a cup full.
Yes driving with Papa. He LOVED this. When Papa had to stop him from steering he sure did try to go for the pedals.
Looking at all the turtles. There were so many it was crazy.
We finally were able to take a family lake trip Ethan loves the lake and we have been going each month with my parents. Mike has not been able to go due to work so this trip Ethan and I stayed a few extra days and Mike was able to come down. (Sorry horrible picture but not easy to capture a picture of all 3 of us)
Ethan with his Dada.
Ethan loving on his Charlie Bear. Ethan loves his dog and constantly went to check on him.
Of course we had to get tons of toys out to play.
Ethan and Dada hanging out on the bed.
Ethan's favorite part of the lake is our walks. This Boy can walk! He wants to walk the entire park several times a day. He loves to explore and will take you on different paths if you let him.
We played at the park while there as well. He would bring cars and use the slide as a ramp at times.
Ethan and Mama. I love this little man so much. I am truly amazed by how much I can love him. He has blessed my life in such a way that it can never be described.
I hope everyone is enjoying their start to summer. I know we are trying to take in as much family time as possible.
